  • Statement of Faith

Christus Classical School is founded on the following key beliefs (or core doctrines) of Christianity that will be considered the primary doctrine of Christus Classical School and therefore unapologetically taught in various ways through all grade levels.

We believe… the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, and as such, it is the final authority in faith, life, and standards of education (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe… that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).

We believe… in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:30), in His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35), in His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26), in His miracles (John 2:11), in His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and in His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).

We believe… that, for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary (Titus 3:5).

We believe… that salvation is by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8).

We believe… that faith without works is dead (James 2:17).

We believe… that the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life by the Holy Spirit who dwells within him (Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).

We believe… in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of life and they that are lost to the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).

We believe… in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, -Galatians 3:26-28).

We believe… that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever (1 Corinthians 10:31, John 17:22-24, 2 Thessalonians 1:12, 1 Peter 4:11).

We believe… that God wonderfully and immutably created each person male or female.

These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Rejection of one's biological gender is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

We believe… that the term "marriage" has only one meaning and that is a marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union as delineated in Scripture.

We believe… that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. We believe that God has prohibited intimate sexual activity outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

We believe… that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography, and

attempting to change one's biological sex or otherwise acting upon any disagreement with one's biological sex) or advocacy of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God.

We believe… that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

We believe… that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accordance with Scripture or the policies of Christus Classical School.

  • Creeds

We ascribe to these important historical creeds of the Christian faith.

One canon (collection) of Holy Scripture.

Two testaments:  The Old and New Testaments are the word of God.

Three creeds: The Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed summarize apostolic teaching.

Four Councils:  Nicea (ad 325); Constantinople (ad 381); Ephesus (ad 431); and Chalcedon (ad 451), establish essential Christian teaching.

  • Affiliations

Our school is a member of the ACCS and will seek accreditation once established. We are also members of the Society of Classical Learning.

We are a non-denominational school and are not affiliated with any church. Our Board of Governors all adhere to our Statement of Faith. Our school works to make each student a better Christian regardless of church denomination.

Our Founders

Andrea Loy, founder

Andrea is married to Dr. Blake Loy, a hospitalist at Cox Health. They have 5 daughters, all classically educated. Andrea has worked in classical Christian schools for 15 years as an art teacher, development coordinator, marketing specialist, and graphic designer.

"It is my earnest desire to create a school community that pours the truth, and lovingkindness of our Savior and His Word into every student who walks in our doors. My prayer for the founding of Christus Classical is to intentionally provide a school where students are eager to begin each day. Through academic excellence, a spirit of inquiry, and a reverence for our Creator, I am eager to partner with the parents of our region in the education of their children. I want to prepare strong Christians rooted in the goodness of God that we might send out our graduates to change the world! I am honored to be a part of the formation of Christus Classical School and look forward to welcoming children and their parents soon!"

Wes Walker

A Carl Junction, Missouri native, Wes is married to Stephanie, and they welcomed their first born son in 2023. Wes has worked with children at multiple camps for 10 years across the United States and internationally as an outdoor science teacher, hiking instructor, and English tutor. He has also served in various leadership and management roles during his career.

“There is no more important thing we do as Christians than to bring up the next generation of Christians in the fear and admonition of the Lord. God’s Word is the foundation of all truth and we at Christus Classical want to instill in students a love of learning, an ability to think critically, and strength to engage with the world for Christ. This area has been my home for 30 years and I care deeply about the community here, which is why my prayer is that CCS can provide a thoroughly excellent, thoroughly classical, and thoroughly Christian education to the children of Southwest Missouri. I look forward to what God has in store for us with Christus Classical School, and am eager to join together with parents to begin this endeavor.”
