A Covenantal Approach

Christus Classical School seeks to foster a love of learning in students through wisdom and virtue by partnering with parents to raise men and women who create a culture for the glory of God in their homes and in the world.

Canon of Scripture | Principles 

All ideas, decisions, policies, traditions, and belief systems taught or operated at Christus Classical School will be founded in the Canon of Holy Scripture as our sole source of truth, wisdom, and guidance. The Word of God is sufficient and supreme for faith and practice.

Culture in Christ | Practice

Our code of conduct, curriculum, and atmosphere at CCS will strive to create a culture like the one Christ Jesus embodied and laid out in scripture through His leadership, His character, and His actions with His disciples. Essentially, this culture is described by the fruits of the spirit as dictated in Galatians 5:22-23: humility, love, joy, patience, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Christ-like conduct includes modesty, unity, and selflessness.

Christian Worldview | Perspective

Our aim is that in everything we do and teach, our graduates would view all of life through the lens of Scripture, bolstering their faith, not ashamed of the gospel, able to give a defense for the hope they have, helping them engage the culture and create lives that bring Him glory.

Classical Model | Philosophy

Christus Classical School will operate in a classical model of learning. Students will read classic books, study the seven liberal arts, and be encouraged to have a spirit of inquiry. The transcendentals of truth, goodness, and beauty will be woven through all subjects and curriculum. Students and faculty will be well-read, learning how to think, not what to think. All faculty will diligently seek to foster a love of learning and an atmosphere of order.

Christus Classical School is a covenantal school. We take seriously the Biblical call to Christian parents to raise their children in the truth and light of the Bible. Covenantal Christian schools then are to teach children Biblical truths about who we are and who God is. It is understood that parents of students at Christus will sign a statement of belief and that families at Christus Classical School are well connected to a church and focus on maintaining the consistency of a Christian worldview across church, school and home.
